Sometimes I feel that people only know of one or two of the labs that we manage on campus. There are several locations spread across campus for students to use which is handy so you don’t have to walk all the way across campus to use the labs.

Note: All of the computers in the labs that we manage have all the same software except in labs that require additional software. We make sure that all of our desktops have the same look and feel to them to make the user experience more smooth when moving from lab to lab.

Ever wonder where all the backgrounds come from in the labs? We have developed a system for displaying them that allows us to schedule images that we get from various MSU groups and organizations. We can either schedule the images for specific times to show up or we can have them randomly show up. Each hour all the computers in the labs request a new image and all of them are given the same one weather it is a previously schedule image by us or a randomly selected one by our system from the vast pool we have collected.
